When it comes to smartphones with big batteries, a new, much lesser-known phone is blowing the competition out of the water. Move over, devices with four-digit battery capacities, the Oukitel WP19 offers a whopping 21,000mAh battery! That’s the battery size of four Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultras put together, and then some.
While the Oukitel WP19 doesn’t boast flagship specs, it promises a week-long battery life, 36 hours of video playback, 123 hours of music, 122 hours of calls, and just over three months of standby time. That’s something to brag about for sure.
So we asked our readers what they thought of the Oukitel WP19. Here’s how they voted in our poll.
Oukitel WP19: Hot or not?
With the MediaTek Helio G95 4G SoC at its helm 8GB of RAM, 256GB of expandable storage, and a 6.78-inch FHD+ 90Hz LCD panel, our readers thought that the 21,000mAh battery is enough to make the Oukitel WP19 a sizzling proposition.
60% of the 1,061 voters think that the phone is hot. Meanwhile, 40% are naysayers and don’t find the Oukitel WP19 too exciting.
Stanley Kubrick: Well, if nothing else you can use it as a lethal projectile when being chased by a bear in the woods during your week-long camping trip.
Tennisfreak: Phones like this definitely have use cases and could be of value to people that go out exploring/adventuring for extended periods of time.
Will: I like the idea but my S22 Ultra has more than enough battery life for me 8-10 hours SOT easy and when I am not using it I never have to think about charging it since I have a wireless charger at my desk and a wireless charger on my nightstand where it would rest anyways regardless of if there was a charger or not.
Aashish: This would be one of those phones that you charge overnight.
