- The Xiaomi 12 Ultra just leaked from a reliable source.
- Renders show a phone with a massive rear camera system.
- Leaked specs, however, aren’t as readily available as the renders.
Xiaomi has already launched a few phones in the Xiaomi 12 series. However, the biggest and most expensive of the bunch has yet to land. Thankfully, we now know a bit more about what to expect.
Thanks to reliable leaker Steve Hemmerstoffer (via Zouton), we have our first look at the Xiaomi 12 Ultra below. As expected, the phone features a humongous camera system on the rear.

Xiaomi 12 Ultra leaked renders
As with last year’s Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra, the 12 Ultra has a camera bump that takes up roughly 1/3 of the phone’s backside. We spot seven cutouts on the back, four of which are lenses and three of which are sensors. The lens at the bottom appears to be a periscope zoom system.
We fully expect the hardware present with this system to be top-of-the-line. However, solid camera spec rumors are hard to come by so far. The prevailing rumor is that the phone could retain most of the same hardware as its predecessor. Although the expected processor upgrade to a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 could make for a more capable system even without many lens or sensor upgrades.

Elsewhere, the display looks to be big and beautiful with a centered selfie camera cutout. Once again, reliable specific info related to the display isn’t readily available, but you can go ahead and expect a 1440p resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate.
Finally, Hemmerstoffer’s renders suggest dimensions of 161.9 x 74.3 x 9.5mm and a weight of 234g.
We should see the Xiaomi 12 Ultra launch sometime in July. With these leaked renders, it’s only a matter of time before a solid spec sheet leaks, too. Stay tuned!
